The Vinyl Depreciation Society is an assembly of DJs and producers dotted around the data stream. They hold ceremonies that both commemorate vinyl and pray for forgiveness for its environmental impact, but here do a fine job of distracting us from that with two killer club cuts.

Opener ‘Phoenix’ is an expansive tune with dreamy pads, spiritual synths and the sort of uplifting grooves that get people on the dance floor. The organic percussion is perfectly jumbled, while soulful chords add plenty of warmth as heavenly leads take you to the skies.

The superb ‘Two Wrongs’ is built on a more turbulent bassline and swaying drums that are topped off with heartfelt xylophone melodies. It’s playful and groovy and full of character.

This is a refreshingly original and musical outing from this cult collective.
