A year on from the release of Pezzner’s excellent entry into Get Physical Music’s iconic Body Language series, the label are to serve up brand new remixes of key tracks from it, with DJ T., Ardalan, The Vinyl Depreciation Society and Kraak & Smaak all coming correct.

It is the label’s own DJ T., still riding high off his recent album who goes first. He works ‘I Am You’ into a fat, low slung and deep tune with a patient house groove and searching synths. When the synth riffs eventually get set free, the tune rolls on to what will no doubt big reactions. Next comes a label debutant in the form of Ardalan, an Iranian DJ and producer based in San Francisco, he is a DirtyBird regular with a bass heavy and wonky sound. Here he works up a nimble groove, with punchy kicks and wispy pads off-set by rasping, textured bass that makes a big impact.

The Vinyl Depreciation Society is an assembly of DJs and producers dotted around the data stream who last landed on this label with their Phoenix single in December 2019. They’re in colourful, cosmic disco mode here, with reverberating arps and sci-fi motifs all adding rich detail to the chunky beats. Last but not least, Kraak & Smaak have been riding on a wave of success since their Pleasure Centre album on Boogie Angst at the end of last year. They head down a dark and dirty late night path here with watery sound effects, a teasing bassline that rides up and down the scale and freaky effects designed to thrill.

These four fantastic remixes bring plenty of new character and charm to the still standout originals.
